About Lit.
Lit is a public book club event held at Monday Night Garage.
It's a gathering of passionate people who read, drink, share literary discoveries and groove to good music.
It's essentially literary karaoke, where people recommend books they love by reading them out loud. The music never stops and the drinks flow. And it's free*.
Selected guests who sign up in time can read live, uncensored excerpts from a book of their choice, based on their own interpretation of the month's theme.
*Entry to Lit is free, however we ask all guests to please bring a new, old, "borrowed" or gently used book you don't mind donating as your cover fee. Donated books will either be given to local charities or retained as part of Lit's book exchange program/library. Don't worry if you forget to bring a book--you can always bring two next month.
